North Idaho Eye Institute
|
North Idaho Eye Institute wants to update their website. The website is not yet complete. I initially created an image so that we could agree on what the site will look like. Here's the image I started with: Home Page. I've placed the developing site at my personal site while we work on it. They wanted some Flash animation that I've added. Home Page |
Diversions Contract Window Coverings |
Diversions Contract Window Coverings sells window coverings for commercial buildings. For the header, I combined several images of different types of windows and also put a contrasting, transparent background over the header so the logo would stand out. I put together a slide show for the first page and was able to combine multiple shots of buildings into single images for this display. Currently I'm waiting for additional photos and content from the company to be able to finish the site. The site is being hosted on my website for review purposes. Diversions. |
Living Springs Assisted Living Home |
Living Springs Assisted Living Home houses 14 seniors that need help. They had no website before and wanted to redo their Logo. I created the logo from some images from a stock photo site I use and then came up with some interesting fonts, colors and filters for the actual letters used in the Logo. Currently I'm waiting for additional photos to finish the site up. Living Springs. |
Harrison Chamber Of Commerce |
Harrison, Idaho Chamber of Commerce is a revised website. I designed this website from scratch and gave it a completely different look. The logo text was provided and I used the original artwork to make the header into an appealing collage. I chose colors to go with the site and help aid the intent to bring more visitors to the area. The slide show is an attractive addition that scrolls through images on its own or can be manually controlled. The newsletter can be read online or downloaded as a pdf. The business directory is sortable. There is also a Google calendar resident on the site that a chamber member can keep updated with monthly activities. |
Kellogg Rental |
Kellogg Rental is a new website. They wanted to build a traditional website as fast as possible that would also be inexpensive. The website would showcase their vacation property as well as show and describe the myriad activites that vacationers can enjoy in both the winter and summer. From the photos they provided and some I purchased, I put together several different photo collages for the headers of the pages. I also created a logo that can provide a consistent touchstone as the visitor moves from page to page. |
A Day On The Lake |
A Day on the Lake was an update on an existing website. The company owner wanted a website that showed many of the different activities that could be done with the boat and jetski rentals available. She also wanted to showcase her vacation rentals. I created the photo collage for the header. Since she wanted to be able to add the text herself to the pages, I gave her access to all the pages via the content management system I provide my clients. Because they want to be ranked highly in Google searches, we've started a pay-per-click ad program. |
Dreamscape Consciousness |
Dreamscape Consciousness is a new website. The owner wanted a website that helps people see a new way to interpret their dreams that involves not only night dreams but day dreams (dayscape). The images used needed to give a hint of both night and day. I found some images in IStockPhoto that she selected from. The left side of the header is one we purchased from IStockPhoto and then I added some artwork to help it span across the page. The IStockPhoto ends just above the "o" in the navigation link "Home". Since she wanted to be able to add the text herself to the pages, I gave her access to all the pages via the content management system I use. She also wanted a blog on her website which I added. The WordPress blog matches the look and feel of the rest of her site. |
Angela Marie Project |
Angela Marie Project is Angela Marie singer/songwriter who wants a website to direct interested parties to so they can sample her songs and see where the next gigs are. Angela Marie has a song on the new Idaho Wildlife Federation CD so needed something up very fast with an expectation that the complete site would be ready when her position in my queue came up. I was able to, with her ideas and photos, build this site in a day. I created the collage and cut the songs down to 1-minute pieces that would be smaller mp3 file sizes. Sometime in July we will finish this site but have laid the groundwork with this effort. I gave her access to the site so she could update the "Upcoming Gigs" section herself. |
Positive Shift |
Positive Shift Band is a new site. I play bass in this band that offers up original positive and uplifting music. Soon there will be a shopping cart on the site to enable listeners to purchase cds. We also intend to enable downloads of individual mp3 files. |
Fullwiler Dental |
Fullwiler Dental had a website they were not happy with and wanted a revised version with a new domain name. They wanted a background that showed the Coeur d'Alene Lake. I took a photo and animated birds flying across the stylized name. They wanted the birds to fly across once and then stop since they thought continuous flying would be distracting from the information on the site. The background of the site reflects the blue feel of lake. The team at Fullwiler Dental want to project a professional feel but also want to showcase their friendliness and their playfulness. There are some photos of their beautiful office as well as some playful photos and animation. |
The Leather Works |
The Leatherworks had a website for many years they were not happy with that did not have a shopping cart. We worked together to design a site using their existing logo with a color scheme that matched some of the colors in the logo as well as the browns that match most of their leather products. We shot a video and then converted it to Flash media that shows one of the owners demonstrating their slippers. We also put a shopping cart on their site that has cart admin that allows them to make their own product additions and deletions. Now they can come to their store in Coeur d' Alene, ID and just check their email to find what products have been ordered and immediately ship them out to customers. |
Tuxedo Junction Big Band |
Tuxedo Junction Big Band, a 22-piece big band serving Coeur d'Alene, North Idaho and Spokane areas, wanted a more modern site with an elegant feel. After meeting with the website contact and listening to his design ideas, the background and collage were developed using Photoshop. Just before the site went live, the director was replaced. It only took me a few minutes to redo the collage to show the new band director. The site content is being filled in by the website contact using a content management tool that I provide my clients on request. They also gave me a video to put on their site that showcases the band. |
New Moon Energetics |
The New Moon Energetics owner wanted to update her existing site. She provided the home page graphic and logo and we worked with that color scheme to create the rest of the site. She wanted tiered navigation and very specific content on each page. She is currently using a content management tool that I make available to my clients on request. I also helped develop an email campaign using Constant Contact.

Tools For Rapid Healing
|
This is a from-scratch design for a new company, Tools For Rapid Healing. After meeting with the owners and listening to their design ideas, I created an initial design that we worked on together until they were satisfied with the look and feel. I turned this design into a template that the owners will use, along with Dreamweaver, to create the pages for the site. They will be starting on this development in the next month. |
Low Carb Specialties |
Low Carb Specialties has a site they like that was originally built in 2004. The site has been worked on by many different designers. Low Carb Specialties knows that the site is somewhat fragile and complicated to work with. They wanted support for changes to the site but had little documentation or original artwork for me to work with. It is extremely important to them that extensive testing is done before any changes to the site go live. Open Ears Web Design tests all sites in Firefox and Chrome (in both the Mac and Windows), IE7 and IE8 and in Safari (on the Mac). |
Harmony Yoga Studio |
Harmony Yoga Studio has an existing site they liked but need just a little support for some changes. They do most of their own updating themselves using Dreamweaver but rely on Open Ears Web Design for more technical modifications. I am currently working with them to develop a revised site. I recently installed an on-line scheduling and payment program on their site (MindBody online) to enable the owner to free up much of her time. The MindBodyOnline application was a great solution for her. She needed technical help to install it and get it customized to match her needs. |
Whether you want to develop a new website, redesign an existing website or maintain your website, I strive to "handle it all" for clients and not require them to go elsewhere to find people to do the different pieces needed for their site.
Whether you require photo creation and editing, video creation and editing, a shopping cart, or design work, I can help you.
